I discovered the love for glass while we were vacationing in New York.  I designed jewelry when I was very young but had not done much for years!  A few weeks before this amazing trip I hurt my back-again!  I had my husband get a few beading items to keep me entertained.  I had really missed creating special jewelry for myself and my friends!  After we arrived in New York someone told us about a "bead class". ( Thanks Sharon!)  As we left the class I knew when I got home I was getting a torch and some glass!  Not only could I create my own jewelry designs- I could design custom BEADS!   From that point my husband joked about how I would go to my studio and brew up some bead design and put it all together to create a unique piece of jewelry.

Hence the name Bead Brew !

Lampwork is a very old art form that used oil lamps to melt glass rods to the molted state and then wound on a steel mandrel  to form a shape.

Today the same process is used with advanced equipment!

I have a home studio in the Show-Me State of Missouri.

I use a Minor Burner torch.

I kiln anneal each bead straight from the torch.

Kiln annealing sets the cooling process to preserve the bead for a lifetime.

After the cooling process is complete, I hand clean and inspect each bead!

Then I design a unique piece of jewelry!

I would love to design a custom piece just for you!

A special thanks goes out to:

My husband, Scott for supporting me in my full time career. Sharon Miller (Anna Rose B&B, Rock Stream NY) for getting me to the "bead class". My Mom for the wonderful Kiln. My Mother-in- law, Carolyn and Sister-in-law, Cheryl for all the encouragement.
